Dot is a fantastic teacher of ukulele and music theory! I have learned so much working with them. I would recommend the Philadelphia Uke Studio in a heartbeat.

Not having picked up an instrument for over 20 years I wasn't sure how I'd do, but Evan has such an irresistible love for music - it was truly inspiring! Lessons were super fun and flexible. Highly recommended!

Evan is a rare mix of knowledgeable in music, proficient with playing, professional and positive in tone while teaching, and endlessly pursuing their own creativity. Teachers don't normally excel in all of those ways in any discipline, but here Evan is. You will be enriched through learning with Evan.

I have been taking Ukulele lessons with Evan for 6 months now and have learned not only how to read an play music, but the fundamentals of music theory so that I understand what is actually happening!
